Abadio Green-Stocel (Manibinigdiginya, native name)
Sabedor Gunadule, theologian, linguist and PhD in Intercultural Studies. He was president of the National Indigenous Organization of Colombia from 1993 to 1998 and spiritual advisor at same organization in 2022. Coordinator of the Indigenous Education Program, professor, and pioneer of the degree in Mother Earth Pedagogy at the Universidad de Antioquia. He was recognized as a “Master of Wisdom” by UNESCO and as one of the 10 most relevant personalities in Colombia for the Country Consultation Process for the Development of the Ten-Year Education Plan (2006-2016). Recognized as one of the 30 personalities for the “Best Leaders of Colombia” award by the joint initiative of Semana Magazine and the Leadership and Democracy Foundation, with the support of Telefonía. During his role as Advisor to the Colombian Minister of Education (2022-2025), he succeeded in having the Indigenous Education System (SEIP) recognized and officially institutionalized. Currently he is a writer, lecturer and professor at Universidad de Antioquia.
